Older Infant Pincer Grasp

HERE is a video showing the Pincer grasp.

Square Knot Keychain

For our first project, we will be tying square knots in suedecord to make a keychain.
Look at the link HERE to see how to do a square knot.

It looks complicated at first, but you will get the hang of it!
You may watch this short video to see a live action demonstration:

Child Development: Toddler: Cooked Play Dough Recipe

COOKED PLAY DOUGH
1 c. flour
1/2 c. salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 package of unsweetened Kool Aid powder (optional)
1 c. water
2 tbsp. oil

Combine 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup salt, 2 teaspoons cream of tartar and Kool Aid powder, if desired, in a large saucepan. Gradually stir in 1 cup water mixed with 2 tablespoons oil. Cook over medium to high heat, stirring constantly until a ball forms. Remove from heat, cool and knead until smooth. Store in an airtight container.

In this video, the demonstrator starts with the liquid first,
but I prefer to begin with the dry ingredients and
add the wet ingredients into them as in the recipe above.
She also uses liquid food coloring which is an option to add color to the play dough.
